Recommendations for Fighters

  1. Choose Tier 1 organizations when possible for maximum medical protection
  2. Get independent medical clearance before fighting, even if the org does not require it
  3. Invest in hand conditioning before bare knuckle bouts (see strengthen hands)
  4. Learn proper technique to reduce injury risk (see bare knuckle striking technique)
  5. Respect mandatory rest periods between fights, even if the org does not enforce them
  6. Monitor for concussion symptoms for 72 hours after any fight involving head strikes
